The Political Soapbox

For a minute, I know you have contemplated this before, imagine you want to steal something from a store. How would you do it? Personally I would create a diversion on the other side of the store and then take it real quick. If i am not satisfied with my steal i would create a diversion, like a fire, so I can take as much as i want, as long as the fire burned. Right?

Okay, now let's put this into the real world. Create an area of instability so that the press would have to have military escorts. Does this remind you of anything?

Barack Obama

Abortion – Pro-choice.

Budget & Economy – Supports government spending, Doesn’t support Bush’s economic policies.

Civil Rights – Supports class-based affirmative action along with race-based, States decide laws on gay marriage.

Corporations – Against tax breaks for companies that send jobs overseas, Supports tax incentives for corporate responsibility.

Crime – Against the death penalty, Supports alternative sentencing and rehabilitation.

John McCain

Abortion – Pro-life with exceptions.

Budget & Economy – Reduction in out-of-control spending.

Civil Rights – Supports Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell, States decide gay marriage, Supports forms of affirmative action.

Corporations – Supports cut on corporate income taxes to keep jobs in America.

Crime – Supports death penalty and stricter sentencing, Favors anti-rehabilitation on crime policies, Increase in prisons.

Drugs – Stricter penalties and stricter enforcement.

I thought I would start off this Blog by creating a profile for the 3 main candidates for President. I honestly don’t follow politics very closely and I don’t know much about what each candidate stands for. I thought there may be other people in my position and hopefully this will provide something people with a better idea on who they should vote for in the upcoming election.
